A Celebration of Remembrance featuring the massed bands of Brighouse & Rastrick and Flowers
Cheltenham Town Hall 3rd November 2018
“The award winning Gloucestershire based Flowers Band, this year celebrating its 50th anniversary, welcomes the world famous Brighouse & Rastrick band to the beautiful setting of Cheltenham Town Hall for an evening of captivating, uplifting and inspiring music to mark the centenary of the First World War.
The Celebration promises to be both a moving and enjoyable evening, which will commemorate and honour all those who have lost their lives in conflict.
Works of solemn beauty will combine with music of hope and optimism through a variety of styles. A fine array of soloists, including former BBC Radio 2 Young Musician Award winners, Sheona White and Grant Jameson, will be featured in a programme that also includes classics from the Big Band era, and works by some of Britain’s best-loved composers.
Don’t miss this opportunity to hear two of England’s finest brass bands join forces for a tumultuous evening of music making.”
